Moba Area Schools

Despite an intense commitment to education, the schools have a very limited access to new resources and textbooks. Teachers are forced to make do with information and materials passed down through the generations. Until recently, there weren´t any secondary schools in Moba-Port. Students had to walk over 4.5 miles to the nearest one—demonstrating the students’ commitment and potential to learn. Now there are 5 secondary schools, each with a specific field of focus: biochemistry, fishing, business, and pedagogy (2). There is a College of Rural Development (ISDR/MOBA) in Kirungu. It is a growing higher educational institution that needs updated resources. Moba is growing and the need for accurate updated information is a great need in the area.
